Couple therapy

You wished for a true partner — but you feel lonely inside the relationship.

The work

The argument is about the dishes, or the in-laws, or who forgot what. But underneath, something else is happening: if you really loved me, you wouldn't leave the kitchen like this. If you really respected me, you wouldn't police me in my own home. The topic is ordinary. What's at stake never is — it's whether you matter to the person who matters most to you.

That's why advice, compromise, and communication techniques so often fail. They treat the topic. We work with what's underneath.

In our sessions, we slow things down — far more than feels natural at first. We map the cycle you're caught in: what each of you does when you're hurt, and how that very thing triggers the other's deepest hurt in return. Then, carefully and at a pace your relationship can hold, each of you gets to say the more vulnerable thing that the fighting has been protecting.

When your partner can finally take that in — not fix it, not defend against it, just receive it — something shifts that no technique produces.
